Trujillo - Huacas and Colonial Houses

The next day visited the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna, way better than Chan Chan, and probably a highlight of Peru in the next years. After that, walked around Trujillo streets visiting three old colonial mansions:

View of the Cerro Blanco, worshipped by the Moche Civilization (50ac - 850ac):

The mountain god of the moche (the colors and carvings are original):

Me posing in front of the Cerro Blanco:

One of the sides of the Huaca de la Luna pyramid:

The experts are not sure about the meaning of this representation:

It is hard to believe that the colors still survive nowadays:

Panoramic view of the Huaca del Sol, the city of Moche lied between the two huacas:

And after that, the visit to the houses. Here the mighty mansion Casa Iturrigue:

These two correspond to the Casa de la Emancipacion:

And here the courtyard of the Casa Urquiaga, all colonial houses in the center of Trujillo:

Next destination... Chachapoyas!!
